Set Up Parental Controls Amazon Kindle Fire

Parents may use this feature to prevent children from purchasing adult content or from browsing online. Kindle Fire also supports parental controls for in-app purchases through the Amazon Appstore.

First, tap the Quick Settings icon, then More, then Parental Controls, then switch Enable Parental Controls to the on position. Then, follow the onscreen instructions to set a Parental Controls password. You’ll see the option to enable Password Protected Wi-Fi on your Kindle Fire.

By enabling Password Protected Wi-Fi on your device, it will turn off and require your password to reactivate Wi-Fi. You will see a Key icon to the right of the Quick Settings icon whenever Password Protected Wi-Fi is enabled and Wi-Fi is off.
